More than 240 travelers have reviewed our private Washington DC limo tours across Tripadvisor and Viator, and the same praise repeats: the chauffeur-guide who knows every monument, the on-time hotel pickup, and a day that felt effortless. Read our Tripadvisor reviews and our Viator reviews for yourself.
Reviews from guests staying in Foggy Bottom keep coming back to the monuments and memorials, the on-time hotel pickup and airport pickups that ran to the minute. Amin is the chauffeur guests name for knowing the city and being easy to be with all day. The same details repeat: patience and flexibility with the plan and a chauffeur-guide who knows the history. Good value for a large group
For 10 people (4 adult and 6 kids/teens), this was a great alternative to the other night tours. We even got to see some of the less known memorials at the Pentagon! Very friendly and helpful driver.

DC tour
The driver was super knowledgeable about the different monuments and allowed us to experience them in whatever order we wanted stopping at different ones for us to take pictures and explore along the route. Extremely worth it for my family and I.

The car was extremely clean, cool and he had bottled water for us as well. I would book this again.★★★★★
Great tour of all the monuments.
Our tour guide, Amin, was excellent! Dropped us off at the most optimal places to see the sites.

Wonderful tour
Our guide Amin was fantastic! He went above and beyond to make the tour all we could ask for. We saw every monument and then some

Our group was 18 family members in town for college graduation, ranging in age from 8 to 80. We had some ideas of the stops we wanted, and Teri our guide worked with us to incorporate them as well as other highlights she recommended. It worked perfectly. Family members could "choose their gear" with respect to walking, and the more ambitious were able to do several things in the same stop (eg Korean War memorial along with Lincoln Memorial and Vietnam). Thanks to Inam our driver and Teri our guide for a great experience!★★★★★

Great way to see the Capital if you only have a few hours.
We had an afternoon flight on a Sunday and decided to get a tour of DC in the morning. It turned out to be a great way to see the major sights and monuments in a short period of time. Stopped at all the major landmarks on the Mall.

Our family (which includes 2 kids and 3 elderly) was visiting DC during Spring break and wanting to hit all of the tourist spots. Our driver (Khalid) was punctual and attentive to our needs. He asked what are the must sees. Since we are here during the beginning of the cherry blossom season, we wanted to make sure we get to see them along with all of the monuments. He made stops for us to take pictures and made sure we do not have to walk too much since we have elderly and little ones. It was very fun for everyone to ride in the limo too and see all the attention we get on the roads. It was a great experience and headache-free for us to not have to plan our routes and find parking etc.★★★★★
Absolute best way to spend our last day in DC!
We had that awkward few hours between checkout and our flight and this tour filled it perfectly! Khalid was so kind, patient, and had great recommendations of what to go see! Definitely would recommend this tour!

Moms and daughters do DC
My best friend and I took our tween daughters. Best way to see monuments! We had control over our time, route, and highlights, and our daughters were so surprised to not be on a bus for the tour. Best surprise ever!

This was a tour at night with our three teenage children.
Amin was amazing he really took care of us. It was cold, and we really felt like we got to see all the monuments with his advice. I would totally recommend it to anybody with families.

Awesome
Fabulous!!!! Service was wonderful. Pick up on time and driver , Ali, was most accommodating and friendly. Even though some of monuments were closed - we still managed to get up and close to those opened. It was a beautiful night.

This tour was outstanding! Our driver Amin was a gem! He picked us up from the lobby of our hotel and right away took pictures and got us started. He was able give us the history of the city, stopped at all major monuments and took pictures for us at all stops. It was raining very hard but he had umbrellas ready, let us know the walk time to certain up close views to make sure we were prepared (all were short walks less than 5 mins and nothing hard to get to just not able to drive the limo all the way up to some which was totally understandable) but also made stops if needed (bathroom and quick food pick ups). We were out for a full four hours which left time to just drive around and see the city and enjoy the limo. I would highly recommend this tour even if you’ve been to DC and seen the sites in the past as it was super fun and the limo was very comfortable (we had 7 total people with plenty of room)! Thank you for a GREAT experience!★★★★★
This was an amazing experience.
The city comes alive in a different way at night and the limo tour was a very comfortable and safe way to experience the monuments. Our driver was very knowledgeable of the city and even dropped us off at our hotels. Would highly recommend this to anyone!

Absolutely the best way to be picked up from
BWI then taken on private tour around DC and dropped off at your hotel!
Do you pick up from Foggy Bottom hotels? Yes, from all nine of them, the Watergate included, plus every Airbnb, GWU building, and office along the Virginia Avenue and K Street corridors. Foggy Bottom and the adjoining West End hold one of DC’s densest luxury-hotel clusters, wedged between the Kennedy Center on the river, the State Department on C Street, and Georgetown across Rock Creek. A chauffeur meets you at your door; DCA is about 15 minutes over the Memorial Bridge, and the Lincoln Memorial is closer than that. Hourly chauffeur service starts at $380 for 3 hours in an Executive Sedan, and a private monuments tour from a Foggy Bottom hotel starts at $440 for 4 hours. Call (202) 609-9811 and dispatch confirms the pickup point any hour.
Can Smart Limo pick us up at The Watergate Hotel? Yes. The Watergate’s small circular drive off Virginia Avenue only fits a couple of cars, so your chauffeur times the pull-in to your walk-out; you get a text when the car is two minutes away. Kennedy Center performances are a three-minute drive or a pleasant walk, and the pickup after the show is where the car earns its keep.
Does pickup work from The Ritz-Carlton, Washington, D.C.? It does. The Ritz at 1150 22nd St NW anchors the West End, and the chauffeur waits under the porte cochère on 22nd Street. From here Georgetown dinners, K Street meetings, and IAD departures (about 35 minutes) are the usual runs.
How does pickup at the Park Hyatt work? Your chauffeur meets you at the main entrance at 1201 24th St NW, across from the Fairmont. Guests here often book by the hour for a State Department visit or a monuments evening: the Lincoln Memorial photographs best in the hour before sunset.
And the Fairmont? Covered, at 2401 M St NW. Despite the “Georgetown” in its name it sits in the West End, one block from the Ritz, and M Street’s one-way flow means the chauffeur stages on the hotel side heading toward Rock Creek Parkway.
The ARC Hotel near GWU? Yes, 824 New Hampshire Ave NW, in the middle of the GWU campus. Prospective-student families and commencement weekends keep this one busy; graduation Sundays book out early.
We also pick up at the neighborhood’s other four verified hotels: the Residence Inn Foggy Bottom (801 New Hampshire Ave NW), Hotel Lombardy (2019 Pennsylvania Ave NW), Hyatt Place Georgetown/West End (2121 M St NW), and the West End Washington DC, Tapestry Collection (1121 New Hampshire Ave NW). Hotel details last updated July 2026.
The Kennedy Center has a dedicated pickup loop on the river side of the building, with a second option on New Hampshire Avenue. Post-performance pickups after 10 p.m. are the neighborhood’s signature booking, and the loop gets crowded when a major performance lets out, so we confirm the staging spot with you in advance. State Department runs for visiting delegations and GWU family weekends fill out the weekday pattern.
Foggy Bottom’s rowhouses and the apartment buildings along 25th Street hold a steady supply of short-term rentals, and GWU housing generates parent-weekend pickups. Both work like any hotel: send the address, get a text on arrival.
Does Airbnb pickup work in Foggy Bottom? It does. Include the street address with your booking. On the narrower streets between Washington Circle and the river, the chauffeur coordinates by text so the car arrives as you step out.
| Airport | Typical drive | Note |
|---|---|---|
| DCA (Reagan National) | 15 min | Memorial Bridge to the GW Parkway |
| IAD (Dulles) | 35 min | E Street Expressway to I-66 |
| BWI (Baltimore/Washington) | 55 to 60 min | New York Ave to the BW Parkway |
Planning estimates, not promises; rush hour adds time and your chauffeur plans around it. Airport pickup at DCA or IAD comes as part of an hourly or tour booking, curbside at arrivals or inside the terminal on request.
A private chauffeured DC tour from a Foggy Bottom hotel barely needs a warm-up: the Lincoln Memorial, Vietnam and Korean War memorials, and the Tidal Basin are the first five minutes of the route. Four hours from $440 covers the monument core with hotel-door pickup and return, and the route flexes whenever you want to linger.
Georgetown is across Rock Creek to the northwest. Dupont Circle is a few blocks northeast. Downtown DC starts at 15th Street with its own 40-hotel corridor. The Washington DC hub maps the whole city, and hotel and Airbnb pickup covers how pickup works everywhere.
Call (202) 609-9811 or book online. Dispatch answers 24/7.
Yes, from all nine, the Watergate included: the Park Hyatt on 24th Street, the Fairmont across from it, the Ritz-Carlton West End, the ARC Hotel on the GWU campus and the Virginia Avenue and K Street corridor hotels, plus Airbnbs, GWU buildings and State Department-area offices.
Hourly chauffeur service starts at $380 for 3 hours in the Executive Sedan and $420 in the Executive SUV, then $110 and $120 an hour. A private monuments tour from a Foggy Bottom hotel is $440 for 4 hours, with the Lincoln Memorial closer than the airport. One flat quote, no surge.
Yes, and the pickup after the show is where the car earns its keep. The Kennedy Center has a dedicated pickup loop on the river side and a second option on New Hampshire Avenue; the chauffeur waits through the performance at a fixed hourly price, so there is no surge when the hall empties.
Pickup and drop-off are included anywhere within about 20 miles of downtown DC (ZIP 20005), roughly a 30-minute drive, and Foggy Bottom is a few blocks from the Lincoln Memorial, so pickup costs you no tour time. The drive counts inside your booked hours, so a 4-hour tour with 30 minutes each way leaves about 3 hours in the city; guests further out often book 5 hours. Beyond the 20-mile circle, call dispatch at (202) 609-9811 and we quote one flat rate that includes the travel.
The Watergate's small circular drive off Virginia Avenue fits only a couple of cars, so your chauffeur times the pull-in to your walk-out and texts when the car is two minutes away. From there Georgetown dinners, K Street meetings and Dulles departures, about 35 minutes, are the usual runs.
DCA is about 15 minutes over the Memorial Bridge and Dulles about 35 minutes west on I-66. The pickup runs inside an hourly booking from $380 that also covers the hotel or the first meeting; flights are tracked and the chauffeur is curbside or inside the terminal on request.
