Reagan National (DCA) is the closest airport to downtown DC: a 10-minute drive on a clear day, 20 in traffic. Our DCA airport limo service is what DC business travelers, tourists, and international arrivals book when they want a chauffeur waiting at the curb instead of standing in the rideshare queue. One thing to know up front: we do not sell one-way transfer-only trips. Your DCA pickup starts or ends a private tour or hourly chauffeur booking, which begins at 3 hours ($380 in the Town Car, $420 in the SUV). We’ve been running DCA pickups for 20+ years. Call us at (202) 609-9811 or book online. We answer 24/7.

Why DCA is the right airport for most DC trips

Reagan National sits at the mouth of the GW Parkway, just across the Potomac from Foggy Bottom. That location means most DC neighborhoods, hotels, and corporate offices are 15 to 25 minutes away. No toll road. No long highway stretch. For Capitol Hill staff, Georgetown dinners, and K Street meetings, there’s really no comparison.

DCA also handles more domestic routes than most people realize, including frequent nonstops from New York, Boston, Chicago, Atlanta, and every major hub. International arrivals are smaller in volume, mostly connecting through Concourse E.

The one downside is DCA’s rideshare situation. The designated pickup area adds a walk and a queue after you clear baggage claim. With a chauffeur service, that walk goes to the arrivals curb instead, where your driver is already positioned.

DCA terminal and pickup detail

Reagan National has three terminals (A, B, and C) connected by a single departures and arrivals building. For arrivals:

  • Curbside pickup (default): The chauffeur waits on the lower level arrivals curb, just outside baggage claim doors. Tell us which terminal when booking.
  • Baggage claim meet-and-greet: For international arrivals, first-time DC visitors, or unaccompanied minors, the chauffeur holds a name sign inside at the baggage carousel level. Request this at booking, no extra charge.

Terminal B and C share the main building. Terminal A is the smaller building for regional jets. If you’re on a commuter flight from a regional carrier, confirm your terminal when you book.

Your DCA pickup is the first or last leg of a tour or hourly booking in an executive sedan or executive SUV (from $380 for 3 hours in the sedan, $420 in the SUV). We quote the full booking before you confirm, so there’s no meter and no surprise. Larger groups upgrade to a Mercedes Sprinter or stretch limo.

Because DCA is only 15 minutes from the National Mall, the arrival-day tour works especially well here: land mid-morning, see the memorials before hotel check-in, and the 3-hour minimum covers the whole sequence.

How DCA flight tracking works

Once you provide your inbound flight number, our dispatch board pulls live status from FAA data. If your flight lands 40 minutes early, the driver is repositioning before wheels-down. If you sit on the tarmac for an hour, you don’t pay for that hour. The chauffeur waits, and the clock doesn’t start until you’re actually in the car.

We monitor from before departure, not just from landing. Airlines sometimes push early out of a gate, changing the arrival window by 20 to 30 minutes. Our drivers see that before we do.

How early should I be picked up for my outbound DCA flight?

For domestic departures, plan on the chauffeur picking you up 90 minutes before your boarding time if you have TSA PreCheck and 2 hours if you don’t. DCA security runs reasonably fast outside of rush hour, but the drop-off curb on the departures level can back up during morning peaks.

For international from DCA’s Concourse E, add 30 minutes. Crystal City and Pentagon City hotels can shave 15 to 20 minutes off because the airport drive is so short (under 5 minutes from Crystal City). On departure days, many clients run a final 2-to-3-hour tour or errand block first, then end at the terminal.

Do you charge extra if my flight is late?

No, within the included wait time. Domestic arrivals get 30 minutes of free wait time from actual wheels-down. International arrivals get 60 minutes. Beyond that, the vehicle holds at an additional hourly rate and we contact you before charging.

Fleet options at DCA

Most DCA runs use the executive sedan (Mercedes-Benz or Lincoln Town Car) or the executive SUV (Cadillac Escalade or Chevrolet Suburban). Both handle 3 passengers with full luggage easily.

Traveling with a larger group? The Mercedes Sprinter van handles up to 13 passengers. Corporate teams flying in together often use this for the group ride from DCA into a day of meetings. For a group of 8 celebrating an arrival, some clients book the stretch limousine instead.

Common questions about DCA pickup

Can I book a one-way DCA transfer? No. We do not sell transfer-only trips; a single airport run doesn’t cover the cost of positioning a chauffeur and vehicle. DCA pickup is included in any private tour or hourly chauffeur booking, which starts at 3 hours ($380 in the Town Car, $420 in the SUV).

Is DCA the right airport for my DC trip? For most downtown DC destinations, yes. If your final destination is Bethesda, Silver Spring, or Rockville, BWI is often closer and faster. If you’re heading to Tysons Corner or Reston, IAD is the better option.

Do you serve diplomatic and embassy clients at DCA? Yes. DCA is a common arrival point for diplomatic staff flying domestic connections. The curbside process is discreet and the chauffeur doesn’t announce your affiliation. Name signs at baggage claim can use initials or a code phrase if preferred.

Can I book a same-day DCA pickup? Yes, if capacity allows. Call (202) 609-9811 and we’ll confirm availability within minutes. For guaranteed availability, booking 24 hours in advance is more reliable.

Pricing and how to book

DCA pickup is included in the price of your tour or hourly booking. The Town Car starts at $380 for 3 hours and $440 for 4 hours, then $110 per hour; the Executive SUV runs $420, $480, and $120.
