Good value for a large group

For 10 people (4 adult and 6 kids/teens), this was a great alternative to the other night tours. We even got to see some of the less known memorials at the Pentagon! Very friendly and helpful driver.

    DC tour

The driver was super knowledgeable about the different monuments and allowed us to experience them in whatever order we wanted stopping at different ones for us to take pictures and explore along the route. Extremely worth it for my family and I.

DCA airport limo at Reagan National: the full guide

Reagan National (DCA) is the closest airport to downtown DC: a 12 to 15 minute drive on a clear day, 20 to 25 in traffic. Our DCA airport limo service is what DC business travelers, tourists, and international arrivals book when they want a chauffeur waiting at the curb instead of standing in the rideshare queue. Your DCA pickup starts or ends an hourly chauffeur booking (3-hour minimum, $380 in the executive sedan, $420 in the SUV) or a private tour (4-hour minimum), so the car stays with you past the terminal. We’ve been running DCA pickups for 20+ years. Call us at (202) 609-9811 or book online. We answer 24/7.

Why DCA is the right airport for most DC trips

Reagan National sits at the mouth of the GW Parkway, just across the Potomac from Foggy Bottom. That location means most DC neighborhoods, hotels, and corporate offices are 15 to 25 minutes away. No toll road. No long highway stretch. For Capitol Hill staff, Georgetown dinners, and K Street meetings, there’s really no comparison.

DCA also handles more domestic routes than most people realize, including frequent nonstops from New York, Boston, Chicago, Atlanta, and every major hub. International arrivals are smaller in volume and come through Terminal 2, where customs is.

The one downside is DCA’s rideshare situation. The designated pickup area adds a walk and a queue after you clear baggage claim. With a chauffeur service, that walk goes to the arrivals curb instead, where your driver is already positioned.

DCA terminal and pickup detail

Reagan National has two terminals: Terminal 1, the smaller building for regional jets, and Terminal 2, the main building that handles most flights and all international arrivals. For arrivals:

  • Curbside pickup (default): The chauffeur waits on the lower level arrivals curb, just outside baggage claim doors. Tell us which terminal when booking.
  • Baggage claim meet-and-greet: For international arrivals, first-time DC visitors, or unaccompanied minors, the chauffeur holds a name sign inside at the baggage carousel level. Request this at booking, no extra charge.

If you’re on a commuter flight from a regional carrier, confirm your terminal when you book; some regional flights still use Terminal 1.

Your DCA pickup is the first or last leg of a tour or hourly booking in an executive sedan or executive SUV. The hourly minimum is 3 hours ($380 in the sedan, $420 in the SUV); tours run 4 hours. We quote the full booking before you confirm, so there’s no meter and no surprise. Larger groups upgrade to a Mercedes Sprinter or stretch limo.

Because DCA is only 15 minutes from the National Mall, the arrival-day tour works especially well here: land mid-morning, see the memorials before hotel check-in, and the 4-hour tour covers the whole sequence.

How DCA flight tracking works

Once you provide your inbound flight number, our dispatch board pulls live status from FAA data. If your flight lands 40 minutes early, the driver is repositioning before wheels-down. If you sit on the tarmac for an hour, you don’t pay for that hour. The chauffeur waits, and the clock doesn’t start until you’re actually in the car.

We monitor from before departure, not just from landing. Airlines sometimes push early out of a gate, changing the arrival window by 20 to 30 minutes. Our drivers see that before we do.

How early should I be picked up for my outbound DCA flight?

For domestic departures, plan on the chauffeur picking you up 90 minutes before your boarding time if you have TSA PreCheck and 2 hours if you don’t. DCA security runs reasonably fast outside of rush hour, but the drop-off curb on the departures level can back up during morning peaks.

For international departures from Terminal 2, add 30 minutes. Crystal City and Pentagon City hotels can shave 15 to 20 minutes off because the airport drive is so short (under 5 minutes from Crystal City). On departure days, many clients run a final 3-hour hourly block of errands or sightseeing first, then end at the terminal.

Do you charge extra if my flight is late?

No. Flight tracking is included, so the pickup moves with the actual landing rather than the scheduled time, and the chauffeur is timed to the plane. If a delay runs late into the night, the same booking holds and dispatch, which answers 24/7, keeps you posted.

Fleet options at DCA

Most DCA runs use the executive sedan (Mercedes-Benz S-Class class) or the executive SUV (Cadillac Escalade or Chevrolet Suburban). The sedan takes 3 passengers with full luggage, the SUV up to 6.

Traveling with a larger group? The Mercedes Sprinter van handles up to 13 passengers. Corporate teams flying in together often use this for the group ride from DCA into a day of meetings. For a group of 8 celebrating an arrival, some clients book the stretch limousine instead.

DCA rates and the same-day tour pairing

DCA’s big advantage is that you lose almost nothing to the transfer, so most of our DCA guests land and go straight into their sightseeing. The popular pairing is a morning arrival, hotel drop for bags, then the 4-hour monuments circuit in the same booking. Your DCA pickup is included in the price of the tour or hourly booking: the executive sedan runs $380 for 3 hours or $440 for 4, then $110 per hour after that, and the Executive SUV runs $420 for 3 hours or $480 for 4, then $120 per hour.

Book your DCA arrival day online or call (202) 609-9811. An expert answers 24/7, no voicemail. Flying into Dulles or Baltimore instead? See IAD airport limo service or BWI airport car service, or compare all three on the airport transfers hub.

Common questions about DCA airport limo at Reagan National

What are the transportation options to and from Reagan National airport?

Metro, taxis, rideshare and a pre-booked chauffeur. DCA sits 3 miles from downtown at the mouth of the GW Parkway, so a chauffeured sedan or SUV has you at a Penn Quarter, Georgetown or Capitol Hill hotel in 12 to 15 minutes with the bags loaded, flight tracked and the price fixed before you land.

How much does a limo from DCA cost?

DCA pickup is part of an hourly chauffeur booking with a 3-hour minimum: from $380 in the Executive Sedan for up to 3, or $420 in the Executive SUV for up to 6 with luggage. That block covers the pickup plus the rest of the morning; a private tour starting from the terminal is $440 for 4 hours.

Is a limo cheaper than Uber from DCA?

For a single ride to the hotel, no; for a landing that rolls into a monuments tour or a block of meetings, yes, because one flat price covers the pickup, the chauffeur waiting between stops and the whole morning. There is no surge when three flights land at once.

Where does the chauffeur meet me at DCA?

At the lower-level arrivals curb outside the baggage claim doors of your terminal, Terminal 1 or Terminal 2. Tell us which when you book. A chauffeur meeting you inside at baggage claim is available on request. Either way the flight is tracked, so the vehicle is there when you walk out.

What happens if my flight into DCA is delayed?

Nothing on your side. Flight tracking is included with every airport pickup, so the pickup time moves with the actual landing and the chauffeur is timed to the plane, not the clock. Curbside at arrivals stays the plan unless you asked to be met inside at booking, and if a delay runs late into the night the same booking holds, because dispatch is on 24/7.

Do you track my flight into Reagan National?

Yes. Dispatch follows your flight number live from departure to landing; if you arrive 40 minutes early the chauffeur is repositioning before wheels-down, and if you are held on the tarmac the pickup moves with you. No call needed and no charge for the delay.
