We booked this service for my husband's birthday. The tour was fantastic. It was extensive, stopping at all the monuments we wanted to see. We were able to customize the tour as well, spending more time at some monuments and skipping or shortening visits to those we were less interested in. The limo is able to park very close to each monument, much closer than we could have if we had driven ourselves. The driver was polite and helpful. Wear comfortable shoes because, despite the proximity to the monuments, there is still a lot of walking involved in exploring the monuments themselves. We did our tour at night and the monuments are gorgeous when lit for evening. The driver can tell you a few facts about each monument, but he was not a "certified tour guide" so if you want that much detail, this is not the tour to take. But if you want to see DC in absolute comfort, this is the way to do it. The limo will pick you up at your specified address in DC, drive you for four hours to the monuments on their list which is customizable, and then drop you back off at your specific DC address. If you want something to drink or eat, bring it yourself as only waters are provided in the limo. Definitely worth the money. Best way ever to see DC!!!★★★★★

Rather than ride a bus, bike, or other means, we took the limo which was air conditioned and the driver dropped us next to each site in the tour and pick us up either in the same spot as the drop off or close by as we left each site. In the limo there was free water bottle and ice with cups, which was refreshing on a hot day. We could choose the music we wanted to listen to through a cell phone the limo driver provided. There were some times the music was a bit loud, but either through the cell phone or a control in the car, the volume can be adjusted. It was also fun to watch people outside the limo as they were taking pictures of our vehicle (the hummer limo) just was much as some of the sites. If you are planning a tour of DC, I would recommend taking the personalized limo tour for comfort and you can choose how long you staying at each site and where to go. This is the way to go! We had 7 people in the limo and had lots of extra room for more people.★★★★★

Excellent tour experience with excellent guide who took into account all our wants, needs, and schedule I took a private limo tour of DC with my parents, husband, and son with Amin as our driver/guide and it was a wonderful, memorable experience. Amin was right on time, at our doorstep, for our departure and helped us settle into the limo (to include pointing out the best, most accessible seats in the vehicle for my elderly parents who have mobility issues, adjusting the AC to keep us cool in the summer’s heat, and showing us the car’s extra bottles of water). He reviewed the itinerary with me upfront, making sure to prioritize getting us to key DC landmarks (given that we’d have an hour of commute time to the city and back, thus leaving a two-hour window for our tour). Whenever we made a stop, Amin was able to tell us key facts about the landmark and gave us time to explore it. My husband, son, and I would always hop out and take a look, but my parents stayed in the limo and Amin kept them company and would even drive around a bit with just them to show them things! He also customized the itinerary to us perfectly - he made sure to include the 9/11, Vietnam, and WW2 Memorials, which were requests from my husband and me, and he made sure that my son, who is 12, got a good look at the Jefferson Memorial and time at the Lincoln Memorial (both of which he really wanted to see). Unfortunately our truck didn’t fit in several of the garages in downtown DC, so be aware of what you are driving for parking purposes. Amir is VERY professional. He really knows his way around the city! He showed us things that even my husband and I had not seen after multiple trips to the city. The only reason for 4 stars (I wish I could give 4 1/2) was that it was a day in the high 80’s and the AC in the limo was not working well, so when we got in and out and in and out, I was never able to cool back down and ended up feeling not so good. That and the fact that the “waters and soda provided” were just tiny waters that were warm (like was warm as tap water on the warm side), I was pretty uncomfortable. I finally found a vendor and paid 5$ for some ice water, and sat in the shad while my family went to one of the monuments. I was better after that. Other than that, I HIGHLY recommend this company. I thought they were very thoughtful, easy to book, timely and professional★★★★★

They swapped out the limo I ordered with an SUV. Which would have been ok, but the car was old and dirty. They could have at least run it through a car wash. Also, very cramped for 5 people and hard to get in and out of. The saving grace was that the driver was great and knowledgeable.

DC weddings run across a wide range of venues and neighborhoods. Outdoor ceremonies at Tudor Place in Georgetown and Meridian House on 16th Street need a vehicle that can hold at a specific gate time. Cathedral and synagogue ceremonies on Wisconsin Avenue have strict drop-off windows and no street parking. Reception venues at the Mandarin Oriental, the Willard, or the National Building Museum each have their own staging logistics. The chauffeur handles all of that so the couple and the planner don’t have to. The black stretch limousine starts at $540 for 4 hours, the white 18-passenger Hummer at $760, and guest shuttles run in the Sprinter, mini bus, or coach.

How a wedding day runs
A typical Smart Limo wedding booking looks like this:
- Morning. The bridal party vehicle picks up from the salon or hotel 90 minutes before the ceremony. There’s time for champagne flutes, final preparations, and a relaxed arrival.
- Ceremony. The chauffeur pulls to the front entrance on cue, Just-Married signage in place if requested.
- Photo window. After the ceremony, the couple and bridal party have a window for monument photos: the Lincoln Memorial steps, the Tidal Basin, the Mall. The chauffeur holds the vehicle as long as needed.
- Reception. Transfer to the reception venue, coordinated with the guest shuttle if one is running.
- Send-off. End-of-night pickup for the couple, delivered to the hotel or after-party.
For multi-vehicle weddings, all pickups are coordinated from a single dispatch desk. One call, one contact, synchronized timing across the bridal limo, the parents’ SUV, and the guest shuttle coach.
What the chauffeur handles
The chauffeur plans for DC traffic and arrives 15 minutes early. A full wedding day typically covers pickup, ceremony, monument photos, reception, and send-off. Just-Married signage on the rear window and other decoration are welcome on request. The chauffeur will pose for photos or stay out of frame, whichever the couple prefers.
Some things that often catch couples off guard: Georgetown and Adams Morgan have narrow streets that limit vehicle size. The National Cathedral has a specific load zone on Wisconsin Avenue. The Jefferson Memorial and Lincoln Memorial have no private vehicle access to the plaza, so photo stops work from the parking areas nearby. A chauffeur who has run these routes many times knows all of this before the day starts.

How a guest shuttle loop works
For a hotel block of out-of-town guests, the mini bus for 22 to 32 runs a timed loop: hotel to ceremony, with the first departure set so the whole block is seated before the processional; ceremony to reception once the couple has left for photos; and reception back to the hotel in two or three waves at the end of the night, so early leavers and the last dancers both get a ride. Weddings of 150 or more take the luxury coach for 33 to 55, which moves the block in one or two trips. One dispatcher tracks every loop on the day and shifts a departure if the ceremony runs long, and your planner has that dispatcher’s number.
When to book
Six months out for spring and summer Saturday weddings. Three months for off-season or weekday weddings. Cherry blossom weekends in late March and early April need 6 to 8 weeks, so call us as soon as the date is set and we hold it with a $200 deposit, fully refundable up to 72 hours before the wedding.

Wedding transportation is booked by the hour with the vehicle's own minimum. The black Lincoln stretch is $135 an hour on a 4-hour minimum, so $540 for 4 hours, $810 for 6 and $1,080 for 8; the white Hummer limousine is $190 an hour, $760 for 4 hours and $1,520 for 8. We plan the timeline with you and quote one flat total.
How far in advance should you book wedding transportation?
Six months out for a spring or summer Saturday, three months for off-season or weekday weddings, and 6 to 8 weeks for cherry blossom weekends in late March and early April, when the large vehicles go first. Start with the vehicle and the date; the timeline can be refined later.
What wedding services do you offer?
Bride and groom transport in the stretch limousine or white Hummer, bridal-party and parents' vehicles, guest shuttles from the hotel block in the Sprinter, mini bus or coach, a photo run past the Lincoln Memorial or Tidal Basin between ceremony and reception, and the send-off at the end of the night.
How many vehicles do we need for our wedding?
A small ceremony of 30 to 50 guests usually needs one stretch for the bridal party and an SUV for parents. At 100 to 150 guests, a Hummer or stretch for the bridal party plus one or two Sprinters or a mini bus for out-of-town guests. Above that, a coach guest shuttle for the hotel block. Tell us the guest count and we size it.
Can we decorate the wedding limo?
Yes. Just-married signs, ribbons on the door handles and mirrors and a small bouquet on the hood are all welcome, and we customize the day as far as we possibly can: tell us what you have in mind and the chauffeur helps set it up. The car arrives early so there is time.
Can the limo stop for photos between the ceremony and the reception?
Yes, it is the most requested part of a DC wedding booking. The chauffeur times a photo window at the Lincoln Memorial steps, the Tidal Basin or Georgetown's waterfront and waits with the vehicle, then delivers everyone to the reception on schedule. The chauffeur will pose or stay out of frame, your call.
