Vehicle options for roadshows

What if a meeting location changes the morning of? Call or text the chauffeur directly. They reroute in real time. For a downtown-to-downtown swap, the adjustment usually takes minutes. For a longer reroute (say, adding a Tysons stop to a downtown-only day), the chauffeur recalculates timing and flags if the schedule needs padding.
How is this different from booking a black-car app by the hour? The app assigns whoever is nearby.
