What is the difference between a Sprinter and an executive mini bus?
A Sprinter van rental in DC is a Mercedes passenger van: walk-through cabin, high ceilings, captain’s chairs for 13, and luggage room. A mini bus rental in DC is a larger body on a truck chassis, with 22 to 32 reclining seats depending on the size, an onboard PA system, and an under-floor luggage hold. The Sprinter is nimbler in traffic and easier to park downtown. The mini bus carries almost twice the group.
How group transport bookings work
- Tell us the group size, date, and pickup location. We confirm which vehicle fits and quote a flat rate. Most bookings are confirmed in one call.
- We assign a chauffeur and finalize the stop list. For corporate offsites, we often do a quick route review the day before to confirm building entrances and staging zones.
- Day of, the vehicle arrives 15 minutes early. The chauffeur handles boarding, luggage, and timing so the group coordinator doesn’t have to.
- Multi-stop runs follow the agreed itinerary. If the schedule shifts mid-day, the chauffeur adjusts. For return trips, the pickup time is confirmed via text so no one is standing outside guessing.
For multi-vehicle bookings (two Sprinters, or a mini bus alongside a sedan for VIPs), all vehicles are dispatched from one desk and coordinated on a single invoice.
